Victorian Traveler™© is dedicated to the authenticity of their bags and to bring back the by-gone era of a romantic time in history.  Their authentic saddles and clothing earned them roles as extras in the classic Western Tombstone.  That's when Kathy and Jerry Tarantino got the idea to re-create the Victorian carpetbags that were popular in the late 1800s for use in Tombstone and for the public. Thirteen years later, sales of their Victorian Traveler™© handmade carpet bags are still going strong. Perfect as an airline carry-on bag, they can hold everything from laptops to knitting supplies to shooting irons.  The carpetbag comes in two sizes, also available in purse size, in a variety of high-quality upholstery fabrics, including hair-on cowhide.  Their appeal extends far beyond just those interested in the Old West.  What some people call "Mary Poppins bags" are also a big hit with fans of the Victorian era.

Each bag is hand made by Kathy and Jerry.  Kathy does the sewing while Jerry assembles the bags as seen below.
